Whilst on my rounds last Friday, I was checking on the performance ( and lack thereof) of my sweeping contractors.. LO and BEHOLD!! What do I find?

A poor deceased raccon...... :(
Image

It was quite obvious my sweeper kidz had been by there, but they didn't want to disturb Mr Racoon..

I whipped out my trusty cell phone communicator device and called 'E', international man of mystery.. 8)
Image

"E's" job is ride herd on the kidz. After informing him of the problem he dialed his celly phone communicator device and contacted my favorite martian and illegal alien ARCTURO!! Two hours later, Mr Racoon was off to a new place, an out of the way place, a place of peace and quiet to spend eternity.. RIP Mr Racoon..

After a long day at the orifice, Inspector O'jete heads home..

to be greeted by his trusty mutt, BO BO, the wonder dog!!
Image

Why is he a wonder dog? Simple, because you never know what he is going to tear up next...

I hang up my keys,

and call it a day, thankful that I'm not out playing in this again.

That was shot of Lake Worth on November 30. It was 21°F with a 30 to 50mph North wind. Freezing rain and snow. The pic was taken out the side window of the rig I was sanding the bridges with..

~snif!~

The little racoon was j-just sleepin' ... right unka Willie?

You sent him to the big farm upstate where there are flowery meadows, bright blue skies and overflowing garbage cans, right?

...

Isn't that the same place you sent all my fish?

You remember, Lucky, Lucky Junior, Lucky III, Lucky IV ... ?

Right On, Reverend Willie! Riding in that airport sweeper was nice but boring. Glad we're done and back inside my nice little office. You were right about it not picking up certain objects. Damn thing won't clear any bolts and lock nuts at all, and those are dangerous FOD for aircraft. But at least I got my Christmas bonus! BTW nice doggy. :)

:? won't pick up bolts and lock nuts? What kind of POS is that thing?

That Schwarze 5000 I used to run would pick up stuff the size of your head!! It would make all kinds of obscene mechanical noises doing it, but it would get it off the pavement. Picked up sand real good and would even sweep water off the roadway too.

Nothing like dumping a 5 cubic yard hopper full of water..

Yeah, Willie it was weird. When the driver went over the bolts it would pick it up then dump it somewhere else. We were just spreading it around instead of removing it. I'll get the make of the truck tomorrow as we have to do some more work. I have the sneaky suspicion that the operator isn't using the vacuum at full strength. It picked up fine gravel, paper mud and water pretty good. I'm gonna recommend to my boss to have the company add a magnetic strip for the bolts. Oh, btw he's a 60-year-old Mormon or what they now call Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That means I have to hear sermons for 4 hours a day. Somebody shoot me!
