Got him 15 years ago.
He went home after a long fight with cancer. I sure miss the old fart. Even though he was deaf and pretty much blind from cataracts, he still had a sense of humor. He always liked to mess with my slippers. I've had those old slippers as long as I've had him. He thought they were his too and he grudgingly shared 'em with me.

We travelled all the lower 48 together in the mid 90's. He protected me and the truck with no questions asked. Scared the shit of more than one trooper and lot of truckstop whores that would jump on the running boards to see if you wanted a "date". They usually shit their pants when he bounced off the window in front of their face, and then they found some place else to ply their trade.

I have had "red heelers" for over 20 years. The first 3 didn't get to live very long due to one reason or another. Each was a better dog than their predecessor. He was the best.
The place is damn quiet without him aggravatin the cats these days.
RIP ROUNDER.
