Teamspeak3
Hi All,
Today I tested the Teamspeak3 - I like it.
So, we have another temp alternate:
1 Download the client beta;
2 Connect to default teamspeak3 server voice.teamspeak.com:9987
3 Create there temp channel (its very easy), for example "FigtingIrish" and password b33r (after last member leave the a channel - this channel desapearing).
If you have downloaded TS3 server - its better because somethimes all channels crash..
I tested it - works OK. It seemed that voice MORE clear, and other mates hear me normaly (with normal volume) not like in TS2. Unfortunately we can't create there sub-channels but we can create two separate channels like FI_1 and FI_2 etc.
P.S. Both version of TS can work in same time.

Re: Teamspeak3
I have Teamspeak 3 installed since yesterday.
Will we use that this evening?
Or can anyone provide me a working Teamspeak 2 download link?
Have to reinstall it in that case.

I downloaded the server, but it is not running on my comp, but I talking with others on a public server - they start the TS3 Server without problem...:FI:Genosse wrote:Ty for the info, Alex! I´m currently downloading it ...

Re: Teamspeak3
I'm all on for moving to new versions etc but maybe there should be a current version thread that states the "offical" version of each piece of software that we use and is required to fly as a squadron?
If ppl want to experiment fine but we should have a standard that we use for quad time

Re: Teamspeak3
No, that was my fault that I switched to version 3 and had no backup of TS2 on my HDD.
Downloading TS2 now from a download archive website.
Hoping it works.

Re: Teamspeak3
So TS3 Beta is out and ready to go, whats the thoughts on changing?
I would need to change the server over, looks not to be a problem. Then we would all need to download TS3 client in order to connect.
2 main features that interest me are the much improved voice quality and the file transfer option.
It's also in Beta stage so it could be problematic. I'm happy to go with a team decision.

I already have it. Small download, easy setup.

Re: Teamspeak3
Teamspeak 2 never got above Release Candidate 2 level
For Teamspeak 3 the 8th beta version was released ten days after the first beta.
It's already annoying.
Wel'll see what happens. Next year

Re: Teamspeak3
I've also DL'd and installed TS3.
So far it seems far more capable than v2. Nicer GUI and I like the File Transfer function, among others.

Re: Teamspeak3
Just to be sure I have this right- I can have both TS2 and TS3 installed, but which version we use will be determined by what version the server is using?

Re: Teamspeak3
I´d say let´s go with TS3. Reason: better sound quality and more options given in the latest version. I´ve run TS3 server on a LAN today and it´s been simply great!:FI:Mikester wrote:So TS3 Beta is out and ready to go, whats the thoughts on changing?

Keep TS2 (RC) installed and get TS3 as quick as possible downloaded ...
