Pics from my old buddy "Gunner" Rucker. He joined the USN in 1951. He served on "straight deck" carriers in F4-U squadrons when he started out. His ex-wiff destroyed all his pictures from those days.
He was in VA-176 when they shot down the MIGS. He spent 35 years in the Navy and retired a CWO-4. The old fart is still as crazy as I remember him from 35 years ago.

Nice one Willie! I saw a digital recreation of that MiG encounter with two Skyraiders on Dogfights on the History Channel.
