Didin't I hear that the whole Storm of War series was going to be cross compatable with each other?, Naval Sim. ground sim etc? Last I heard about ten years ago JANE'S tried that and it went "Ker-Plunk".
Sounds like he's just working on getting the rendering engine up and stable, along with the netcode. Once he gets the dev-tools sorted out it's just a matter of throwing more people at it.

"I will ask programmer" !!!!! WTF!!!
Ian Boys:
Q: Will we have sounds distinguishable by engine type? Will a Daimler Benz sound different to a Merlin?
Oleg:
A: Yes. And if you can’t hear such differences in Il-2 series then please try to get more better quality sound card and speaker system.
Lol, sarcasim I love it!
Ian Boys:
Q: What hardware are you assuming will be necessary to play BoB smoothly?
Oleg:
A: Don’t know yet. This will be known in Summer 2007. So before that time I will be not able to answer right.
This is the most telling question and answer, according to my severly malfunctioning peanut sized brain.
Falcons bang on the money. The lazy B'std's have not even started it yet.
It will start in the summer 2007!!!!!
Today my glass is half empty!
Lol, got to agree!!From the way Oleg sounds ...
