This looks so cool!

Playing through the official campaign now... need to go to bed, but I really want to see what happens....

Much better written than the first one in my opinion, so far. But then most everything was better written than the first NWN adventure... :D

The toolset looks just as scary as the old games toolset though...

I was thinking of getting this game if it's like Oblivion. However, I keep getting heckled by my LAN cohorts that it's a sissy game. What's with that? Anyone who played the previous installments give me a headsup on this game please before I get tarred and feathered and fed to the sharks.

Honestly, if you're that worried about what the sharks think, then perhaps you shouldn't get it.

I, honestly, haven't gotten that far into it yet. If it's anything like the original Neverwinter, then it's basically a pretty good game with lots of great potential because the company gives you the toolset to modify the game to your whims. The last game was horribly written in the single player, but the community took what the programmers gave them and made gold. Many adventures and modules were 5 times better than most anything in the original adventure.

I enjoyed the first game. Was it high intensity, evil lurking, smash 'em up all the time? No. But it was fun. Which is what I look for in a game. Generally, I don't tend to care what other people think about what I play. I don't play games for other people. I play for me.

Have fun.

Snaph.

Sharks don't think Snaphoo they chew you up bit by bit

I'm not into fantasy RPGs, except for Oblivion which I think is an excellent game. So if NWN2 is like that then I may go for it.

Ahhh! A chicken monster!

AB,

NWN2 isn't as good, inferior or better than Oblivion, but just different. It may not have that ..."wow factor" that some border-line rpg'ers may need though. It's the story, the intricacy of the rules and the infinite variety through mod-ability of the game that makes it a definite keeper for me.

Hey Chicken Foot, erm, I man Falky  that shot you took don't seem to have any shadows. Is that how the game looks or you took the shadow options off. I dunno about this game. When I visited my pal's store he had the game and also the FEAR new add-on. Think I'll buy the add-on first and try NWN2 later.

Shadows can be adjusted... personal shadows and environment shadows all can be adjusted to taste and PC performance.

Yeah AB,

The only thing I needed to do to make the game run a wee bit smoother was to click the shadows down a bit. At full shadow there are plenty.

There's lots of complaints on the NWN2 forums about sucky frame rates.

My über system ...

well it was über a year ago anywho

was kinna havin' troubles with everything maxed.
