Love that 'knobby knuckle'

It just goes to show that Harley used to be able to make REALLY nice looking machines...

'Tis a shame what happened to them...

I blame capitalism and lawyers, personally ;)

Nice little Vincent there too ;)

Tell Ray he needs a haircut ;) (I'm just jealous)

Great pics Padre Willie!

Is that a Vincent? =P~ Awesome pics. Like the coupe with the "Loudener" exhaust.

I don't have a problem with the new Harleys. It's the Buells. They look like R2D2 and an electra-glide had an unholy conjunction. :O~

Menace,
I'll concur with that; Buells are definately not a pretty machine. And the new Vrods.....you know that gas tank looking thing,,,, is not the gas tank! With the entire planet making Harley cloones, I'd think Harley should stick to a proven/successful style. Its kinda like the CokaCola reformuation a few years ago...i.e. Hmmmmm, we got 70 percent of the soft drink market.....I know lets reformulate the CokaCola recipe to taste just like our competitor (Pepsi)....real bright move....

As Gen would say....

You CANNOT compare a WLA or a 50s/60s Harley with anyhting that they make today.

Granted the may run better - but you'd need a degree in programming to fix one....

The looks (for me at least) of the older bikes are light years ahead of the new chrome cruisers they build....

Just one sick Paddy's opinion....

But then I'm into Russian Iron

I agree /w Uncle Fen. Class is what they used have. Reliablilty? FFS who needed it?

The new machines are definitely better as far as riding and reliability. Like the diesel did away with the steam engine, the jet did away with the piston engine, the EVO and the V-rod did away with the old iron. They work very well, but they lack soul.

NOW back to my steam powered, coal fired, computer thingy.... PFFT! :p

Igor, in 20 to 30 years, they'll have their own soul. ;)

AND hopefully, their reliability as well.

With a bike like the Time Bandit I'm sure they all love 'em to iddy-biddy bits :)

I know I would ;)

I suppose I could buy an old 45-49 heap and put a flatheadpower motor in it, if I remortgage the house

Gah, Now I'm doing my own oil changes. Get this: no "O" washer on the oil drain. :x If I keep sending it to the dealer, I'll have the same reliability as the old knucks! Metal on metal contact making something oiltight. Where do they get these service clowns? Pretty basic stuff. I am in no way mechancially inclined, but I've hooked up more Avrey Hard-alls (yes that's its name), and camlock fittings for Dog knows what, to know better. Just what I needed, some oil on my rear tire at 120kph.

Here's something that doesn't sound right to me, 9nm tourque for the clutch cover? That's a little on the weak side isn't it? :?
