Yeah, My favorite bit was when he was climbing up that brightly lit shaft and, the goofy thing, all of a sudden appears on his back. Scaring the crap out of him, and scaring the crap out of the audience :lol: ! I think John Carpenter did that, then went on to "The Thing". Guess he thought that if he can scare the crap out of people with a goofy red beach ball in a brightly lit spaceship, he can give people like me long lasting truama with exploding tentacled husky dogs. 8)

Is actually one of the only movies portraying Bruce Dern as protagonist; he's so often cast as the 'badguy', but If your'e interested in seeing him as a total creep, rent "The Cowboys" with John Wayne. incredible. (Cannibal Corpse [The Bleeding] playing in backround..)
