back from the operation...sorta!

Post by Beowolff » Wed Feb 22, 2006 10:42 am

well, right... back. sorta. though released from the hospital, i'm under house arrest for the next few days... and thank you kindly, fine gents, for all your well wishes.

now to the gory details.

okay, apparently the operation was a good one, though when the doc got into my stomach, he found more damage than originally thought... still, a snip snip here and a snip snip there and a stich here and a stich there and wow---i'm gooder than new. got some good flak curtain material inside my gut now, which hopefully will prevent additional blowouts in the same region.

i really feel no worse for wear, sure my gut hurts, but the good ole pill pusher doc gave me more than enough "good" pills to tide me over on that.

that first evening when i woke up (after the operation) was a bust... wow, i felt as if they'd knocked me out with a sledge hammer and went at my guts through my rib cage with a pry bar...but when i called the nurse and told her i was in pain, she quickly dosed me down good with some "wonderful" narcotic via my dripper and immediately i was on Cloud Nine. ahhhh.... gently floating about in warm, fuzzy indifference...

i'd love to brag off to you lads about my mighty sexual conquests of the beautiful nurses and female hospital staff----only like George Washington, i cannot tell a lie. yeah, it didn't happen. at least not in reality...though i did have a good, fantastical day dream or two about a couple of the young, female RN's while awaiting the operation prep. if that counts??

all in all, i'm glad to be back home. if ya ever get tired of being home, a short stay (and operation) at a local hospital will surely remind you of just how nice it really is.

What you actually made it out alive?! Man I had dibs on your new Dell computer too. :(

Kidding of course mate! :D Happy to hear you're recovering nicely. =D]

Regards,
TS!

P.S. But can I still have your new computer?

NO! i've already promised it to my dog... after all these years, he's a perfectly experienced flight sim pilot...perhaps much better than I. and he's wanted his own computer for several years now.

sorry...
