Anyone Remember "Super Dave" Osbourne?

Post by :FI:Heloego » Wed Oct 19, 2005 3:25 am

The first (and I think only) time he was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson he brought the house down!

JC: So what have you been up to, Super Dave?

SD: Well, in my free time I've been writing childrens' stories.

JC: Really? And how is that coming along?

SD: Pretty good. I've brought along the first copy and would like to read story, if you don't mind.

JC: I'm sure the audience would love it!

SD: Once upon a time there was a dog named Rover, a very talented dog with a really nice master. Who was a cowboy named Jimmie.
One day Rover and Jimmy went into town and walked into a bar and ordered beer.
The bartender said, "Sorry. No dogs allowed."
Jimmy replied, " But bartender. This is a very special dog. He's very smart and can actually talk. "
The bartender said, "Prove it." and Rover responded by asking for a beer.
Surprised, the bartender complimented Rover on his mastery of the American language, but insisted that "Rules are Rules, and you gotta go."
Jimmy offered a wager. If Rover was able to go outside, enter the competition across the street, pay for a few cases of beer, and return with the exact change, would the bartender allow him to stay?
The barman couldn't pass this one up, so he said, "It's a bet!".
Jimmy gave Rover a 50 dollar bill and sent him over to the competition for the beer.
Some time later Jimmy was getting worried (and the barman was already laughing) so he went out to find out what was keeping Rover.
To his great dismay Rover was out in the middle of the street in an "Act of Love" with a local poodle. Shocked, Jimmy cried, "Rover...how could you!? I've never seen you like this!!!!"
And Rover replied, "And you never gave me 50 dollars before!" :)
...and wear your feckin' mask!!!!! :x
