The inventor of the world´s first serial-produced synteziser, Robert Moog has died at the age of 71...So sorry :FI:Moog you have lost your namer....

Holy crap... thought it was :FI:Moog who was dead at first when i saw the headline :? but it wasnt thank god. Anyway, condolances to Robert Moogs family

There was a documentary made about him last year. He was a pretty amazing guy, and not just for his contribution to music... he came across as a compassionate, philosophical, positive and fun-loving person who would have commanded love and respect no matter what he chose to do with his life.

I've been checking a few music websites on the net this morning and they all have banners and memorial pages set up already.

...in light of what he did for keyboards is at the very least as influential as what Fender did with the guitar.
