This was during my 2 year trip in the US. Most weekends we were out in the Rocky Mountains. Up to this day I still miss it, but back in the Netherlands there was just no way to get started with it. Very strict gun laws make a near real experience impossible. Sure I didn't shoot live ammo, but even with just blancs it sure adds to the suspension!
We re-enacted the brave men from the 5th Gebirgjägers. The entire weekend I simply spoke Dutch and they all agreed, that was authentic enough
Long hair is a pain, I think I lost half a dozen hairpins and equal broken nails. Tho in the pics you can't quite tell

Tho in the pics you can't quite tell Also, instead of Fran, or Cisca, or Francisca, they called me Francis, a german soldier of french origin lol (well some of these guys are really nitpicking and everything has to fit. My CO had a flaming discussion to get me in, but all was cool when I said, just treat me like one of the guys. And during my adventures I've been 'just one of the guys'.
