Scratch One Pilot License
Hmm,
must have been a student pilot without an instructor on board.
Or an intoxicated pilot....
Or a Forgotten Battles junkie that stole a copter....
Now if he had turned at the intersection he might have made it..

Hopefully nobody was injured!
there was a 100 year-old man inside, he got to take a trip with a chopper as a birthday present.
Apparently he had to go to the hospital for fractures

There is no way to...
...be certain of the cause until the goverment report as made available.
It is not apparent why the helo was taxiing that direction, but I did note the blade strikes as it moved by the trees.
The damage from the trees would have easily been enough to throw the Main Rotor far enough out of balance to cause the crash.
Actually it's pretty amazing everyone's necks weren't immediately snapped!
Very lucky people, indeed.

Glad there are OK
Didn't appear that there would be any serious injury, glad to hear that was the case.
Too bad for the 100 year old man, glad he's OK, would have been tragic for him to have been hurt or killed. For his age, he is obviously pretty healthy to have not had a heart attack.
Amazing,
MikeV

if you look closely, you can see that the rotor strikes a lamp-post on the left side of the helicopter, right before it starts to tip over
