Hello

Post by Flynn » Wed Jun 08, 2005 5:33 pm

Hello Fightin' Irish,

I found your fine site here after I bought a copy of IL2:Forgotten Battles. I remember having a demo of the original IL2 and gave up on it because the aircraft didnt seem to fly very well...at least on takeoffs.

As it turns out the game was fine...it was me that wasn't very good (a situation that has not changed btw).

I'd like to go online with you all and have at it. I read in the forums that you all get together regularly to fly and have training sessions and I wouldn't mind joining in when I can. I know I could use the help. I live in Rhode Island, USA in the Eastern Time zone. Although the majority of you appear to be Euro flyers there seems to be enough North Americans to make time zones not too big an issue. I've been checking out your site for a few weeks and you seem like a fun group to fly with. I look forward to seeing you all in the air (more than likely over my own shoulder).

Regards,

Flynn

What's wrong with the mates from North America? I can think of one guy, however, down south in the States in love with penguins or ferrets (or some fool thing) I would stay away from, but even he's ok once properly medicated. ;)

Welcome.

Welcome aboard m8.

I'm sure you'll fit in okay.

Just complete the tests that out perm/temp recruiting officer will set you and you'll be "In like Flynn"

Any state that can deliver Bourbon Street can't be all bad... :)

Perhaps a little help with some of the particulars of hookin up online? Like as with TeamSpeak, Hyperlobby and whatnot. Sorry in advance for the lack of familiarity....just another newb with a pocketful of questions.

We usually fly together on Sunday and Wednesday but there will be :FI: bods online through Hyperlobby most nights.

Best to join HL if not already.

You will need FB-AEP-PF combined to fly with us. Problem is which version?

Current is 3.04 but patch to take it to version 4.0 is about and the official, now called 4.1 is out next week. Confused?

I am.

I will be online tonight, if you see me or any :FI:mates page us and we can discuss further
