Godzilla Rises! ( Easter's coming!)

Yes, I may have done, or may be stupid!

Here's where I'm at with my "killer" PC...

Power "On":

After the INTEL splash,
"Marvel 88SE61xx Adapter - Bios Version 1.1.0.L62 Initializing..........
...................................................................................................
...................................................................................................
............Warning! Something is wrong with the adapter!"

I Ctrl+Alt+DEL, and the system boots normally!

Intel hasn't responded. I guess I stumped them.
Several online Forums suggest I disable RAID, since I have only one HD, but I'll be danged if I can ID the BIOS setting to turn it off.
Re-setting the CMOS and Re-setting the BIOS to defaults doesn't help.

System:

Intel DX38BT board
Core 2 Quad 6600
2GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 w/Cooling Kit
Enermax Galaxy 850 PSU
BFG 880 Ultra OC 768MB
Hitachi Deskstar 1TB SATA2 HD
LG 20x DVD/CD Writer
all in a Lian Li Rack Mount Case.

Like I said, when I C+A+D the system boots normally, so it's really more of an annoyance than a problem.

But I'd still like to get rid of it.

There is a possible solution here.

Sounds like it might be specific to Albuquerque as that is where the other guy lives too.

Has it started calling you "Dave" yet?

Gareth,

I'm already a member of the TSF and actually got a better response from them than from Intel Tech Support (note oxymoron).

Intel said to disable the secondary SATA controller, but that's where my DVD Writer is. If disabled, the board no longer recognizers the DVD.

Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and shell out for a SATA DVD unit sometime sooner or later. Later, I hope.

The "Marvel Warning" screen is not more than an annoyance at this time. Increases boot by about 15 seconds, but for now I can live with it.

BTW, this rig ROCKS!!!!!!!

But I still can't get past the trauma of the last rig's fans...

I catch myself blowing into my mic to simulate the background noise. ;)
