Lerche III B-2 landing

Post by :FI:Sacktime » Tue Jun 16, 2009 4:29 am

Was bored, all my house work done, car cleaned, lawn cut, garden weeded. So I fix up a quick mission with the Lerche III B-2. Actually I made this msn a couple of months ago, anyways I am now confident that I can actually land this thing. What I was wondering as we are not the Jet type, has anyone actually tried to land this thing? It's actually not very hard, (I lie, it took me about 20 attempts to get this thing to land the first time then another 30 attempts to make 10 straight successful landings).

My next attempt I think I'll try and land in a urban environment, think a soccer pitch.

Flown it. Sounds like a UFO, flies like a UFO (no jet can catch it), looks like something out of an Ann Summers catalogue...(erhmm..so Im told)

...and you've got to reverse park the damn thing, how Im not quite sure.

I can't say that it wasn't fun but its got all the practical application of a chocolate fireguard

  I agree, it's just.....different. I was able to land in a soccer pitch tonight, first attempt, although I was hovering, twisting this way and that, then drifted off target and had to maneuver back, but it can be done. Think I might try a moving Aircraft carrier next....
