First post.
Hi All,
I just dropped in to say 'Hi' to those that fly with :FI: tags.
I didnt really know where else to make my first post here, and we're now in the small hours of Saturday morning and Im a little drunk, so bare with me.
I was told about this Squadron by your good squadmate, and my recently acquired friend Airway, who does a lot of good work over at Sturmovik.de
I think its always important to make your fist post in a new forum really count for something. And so, if you are a UK voter, check this link : http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Bomberboys/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've scanned the boards here, but unless I missed something in my alcoholic state, there doesnt seem to be a place for new guys. I'd like very much to be accepted into the Fighting Irish community, and perhaps at some point join the Squadron. I hope my previous bomber-type videos will stand me in good stead for that. But if one of the mods/admins here would like to let me know about that sort of thing, I'd be very much obliged.
Anyway. before I start rambling, I'll say Chin Chin, goodnight, and what a nice, tidy, and concise site you blokes have here.
Best regards,
Hanglands.

Welcome to the boards, Hanglands!
Well, you´ve started your first post at the very right place: in the "Off-Topics"!
Before we can allow you to wear the FI tags you need to tell us more about yourself: where you are located at, for how long you fly IL-2, if you can call a copy of Teamspeak and Hyperlobby your own, how often you like to fly with us, what you expect by the FI community, if you like to see wainscotted sheeps Dancing with ferrets and so on ...
Check the boards and find out what kind of guys we are ... and you´ll be welcomed to post your comments, ideas and statements whenever you like ... as long as they aren´t of any political content (No politics ever on these boards! ... right, Pike?)
Usually we do fly Saturdays on 0200 British Standard Time (BST) and Sundays on 1930 BST on Hyperlobby. Just look out for :FI: and =FI= tags!
Cya there, Hanglands!

Hanglands,
Also ...
if you go back to the front page and click on the "SQUADRON" button, you will see an application form. Fill that in and send it off and you will receive an E-mail with other info that you will need.
There are no skill or meeting requirements, just a great bunch of lads lookin' for a good time in the air.
Welcome to the :FI: forums,
Falcon
PS: You posted in the right spot for your intro!

Hello and
to the board !
Nice that you made it here and we hope to see you up in the air with us, soon.
This evening theres a coop going on.
Time zone difference may confuse a bit in the beginning along all the players from everywhere, but only until you made out when who is online in your time zone.
See you !

Well, he started off half-drunk so that's a plus.
Warm welcome to the world-famous FI Squadron. Thanks to Mr. Airway for roping in, erm, uh, ahem, I mean inviting you here. Lots of nice imformative folks here and not a few crazies of which I'm a proud member. This site is one of the best IL2-related ones you can find. So, sit back, grab a Heine (or whatever you drink in your part of the woods) and enjoy the ride.

Re: First post.
Genosse covered the "no politics" rule, we have another one - no nudity - except between consenting ferrets, penguins or sheep (or any combination of those). If its all the same to you I'll keep my clothes on for now.Hanglands wrote:Hi All,
