Air Race

Post by Nightcat » Thu Feb 09, 2006 6:21 pm

Just gonna throw this out there...

Who would be interested in a one off event, talking air races

I've got some maps I've stolen that are ideal for this, I can probably change them so the owner wouldn't recognise them.. er mean ask for permission to use them

We could have a few events on the day or evening

Perhaps formula one style with 2 in a team?

Endurance race?

Demolition Derby?

Well like I say, just throwing it out there to see if its worth working on something for one and all for the end of February.

As for Prizes? custom race skin by someone? Bit of ribbon, medal? no idea

Would have thought Banger racing tactics best saved for Flat Out.
How about an FI stock car team?

Air race sounds good , how about a Display team ?

Rough time and date, thinking.... February 25th 9pm GMT / 3pm EST

Races...

Fastest Lap

3 Lap (none jet)

3 Lap (jet race)

3 Lap - (bi place)

7 Lap team race (2 peeps in a team formula one style / none jet)

Valley of Death (winner being the one who can get the furthest or complete the most laps)

Perhaps have everything point based, tally up at end to see whom winners are...

Suggestions/Comments on time and events ?

Would have thought max speed with weapons empty and half a tank of gas.

4 lap event with ground targets might prove an interesting event though.

1 lap recce - 3 laps gunnery

or how about a "Smokestack Slalom"
