Goat Skies Question

Post by :FI:Heloego » Sat Oct 08, 2005 6:48 pm

Cricket and I have noticed that even though we have the same Browser (FireFox 1.0.7) and the same settings the Tctics and Management Sections have out-of-position images when viewed using her HD.

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this?

Before anyone asks:

One PC w/two removable HDs (one for her, one for me)
OS: Her - W2K; Me - W98SE
Same Monitor and Screen resolution,
Same Browser and Version, with identical settings
No plugins required to view Goat Skies(all pages html only).

This weirdness occurs even though Histories, Cookies and Caches are cleared prior to viewing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

The only HD issue...

Post by :FI:Heloego » Sat Oct 08, 2005 7:40 pm

...has been Crickets probs getting hers to boot. We discovered that is due to the Bios recognizing and remembering my HD. So when she uses hers, she most often needs to re-start a few times to get it recognized. :)

Why not, ditch teh Millenium Exploder..... errrr 98 Slow Edition..

Install BOTH HD's one as master and one as a slave. Use the WIN2K OS and set up individual user profiles?

OR one of the guru's here might be able to show you how to set up a dual boot configuration where you tell it which HD to boot from at start up.

I use two HDs already...one for the OS, one for my music. Hers is seperate.
Since my music software will not run in W2k or LINUX, I am limited to my current OS.
And I only had to pay for the license once, unlike the XP which I hear limits you to an astounding 3 re-installs before you are required to purchase an additional license. ( All in the name of "Piracy Protection" )
The only reason I still have a Windows OS is due to my music and gaming.
All other activity is done in my LINUX partition, and I have never had a problem with LINUX.

The HD thing is a very minor prob by any means, and will disappear as soon as she gets her Laptop. :)

I am actually more curious about how Goat Skies appears in your browsers.

Dan,
Looks good here. Used XP Home with Netscape and IE. (I think that thing with XP and three reloads is just Rumors and Propaganda).

Now she's got her sights set on a $2300 Norwich pup!

The Laptop would have been much cheaper. :(
