Trip to Prince Edward Island

Post by :FI:TacticalS! » Sat Aug 06, 2005 5:10 am

Well folks we just got back from visiting beautiful Prince Edward Island, Maritimes, Canada.

If you don't see the pics just try again later. Apparently there's a bandwidth limit imposed. :?

Image
Left Saint John, New Brunswick on Wednesday, August 3.

Image
While in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island we visited a wax museum. Hey, Michael Jordon was there . . .

Image
and in preparation for BOB, TacticalMatt had opportunity to put his "head" together with Mr. Churchill.

Image
The kids enjoyed an amusement park called Sandspit.

Image
TacticalS! and TacticalMatt raced their rides, and a lighter TacticalMatt won. :( Stupid lawnmover engines.

Image
Downtown Summerside, Prince Edward Island.

Image
Cabot Beach, Prince Edward Island where we stayed.

Image
The neat thing about travelling to Prince Edward Island is Confederation Bridge, which spans 12.9 kilometres between my province (New Brunswick) and PEI. It takes about 10 minutes to cross, making it one of the longest bridges in the world.

Regards,
TacticalS!

I was about to say the same... if they'd have built it straight you could have crossed in 9 mins. Think of all that extra fuel you burnt... very environmentally unfriendly ;)

The Squad pays me? :-s Ok, sounds good to me. :D

I have this around the world trip thingy plan and need some $$. In return, I will calibrate all the mates' joysticks, or at least try very hard as I wouldn't have a clue how to really calibrate them.

And none of that stage coach stuff - for the sake of the Fightin' Irish's public image I insist on travelling first class. ;)

Glad to see they finally introduced accurate bridge-drop modelling...
