Just Saying Hi
Just Saying Hi
Hi guys,
I have applied to join the FI. My name is Mike
I am 47 and Live in New Zealand. I am a total newbie at flying and sims as i only got IL2 a few months ago just to try it . Well now i have the series and have upgraded my pc to run it. Also got a Saitek evo joystick after first geting a cheapy to try the game.
I have been looking around for a group to join ( if you will have me ) and came across your posts in UBI. You seem such a friendly lot I though what the hell maybe they can teach me the ins and outs of the game and spend many hrs of enjoyment together.
As I work shift wotk I am online at odd hrs for my time zone so joining with the international community is not a problem a couple of times a week .
My kids have grown up ( 2 of them ) so its just me and the missus and she doesnt mind me being online as the computor is about all I spend time doing these days Mind you she gets a wee bit upset at the money I have too spend on more upgrades and the ADSL connection but hey the married guys will understand.I have been to hyper lobby a couple times (madmike_02) but am TOTALLLY useless in full real
anyway i have raved on enough hope to see most of you soon .

Top o' the Mornin' t'ye!
or "Bottom of the Evenin', Bucko!"
or whatever....
Welcome aboard, m8, and thanks for giving us the chance we so deserve.
We've been looking to join someone from New Zealand for some time now, and, if you'll have us, we'd like to fly with you a bit to see if we're up to snuff.
What the hey, we'll crash any party!
or whatever....

Willkommen auf dem "Schwarzen Brett"!
Welcome to this BB, Mike!
You´re from NZ, you said? D´OH! Then I´ve to prepare the "Rogues" roster on our site ... what´s the flag of NZ again? Is it like the Australian one but with red stars instead of white ones on it? I think I missed that lesson in geography ...
Anyhow, ... be a frequent and lively member of this BB and meet us online via HL. I hope that your shift schedule will allow to meet some of us guys from the colonies and from old/new Europe ....
Sláinte!

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed."
