Re: Teamspeak T3 is here: Welcome to the future
Connecting fine here Gee.
Uno problemo though ... oh,
The old TeamSpeak Overlay doesn't work with it, so I went shoppin' for something that did. I found this.
I haven't tried it and probably won't pay for it, but I thought I'd throw it out there for youse guyz.
If anyone DOES have sumpin that works, let me know. For some reason everyone sounds as if they've gone through a sort of bizzarro puberty ... or something and I need names poppin' up until I learn the new voices.
Oh, what was that older TSO-ish ap ... Tisp ... or something. Does that work?
Thanks,
Fal "Could you speak in a higher register?" con

From what they are saying in the TS Forums, it looks like the free version may work just fine, as far as the overlay. The old TeamSpeak Overlay doesn't work with it, so I went shoppin' for something that did. I found this.
I haven't tried it and probably won't pay for it, but I thought I'd throw it out there for youse guyz.
The only drawbacks would be a watermark on any recorded videos, limited 15-day trial, and asking price of $29.95.
That's 3 strikes.
I installed it, and installation/setup with TS3 is easy enough. While it is substantially more configurable and has more features, I don't think it's really worth the price.
For the time being I'll just pretend I'm suffering from temporary Dementia and revel in all my new friends.

I also think the $29.95 license is only good for a year- talk about making cash off of a program someone else offers for free! Maybe somebody will come up with a new equivalent of TSO soon.

Her's some info from the TSO folks:
http://www.projecttint.com/editions_std.php
Looks like they're already on it. Just hope they come up with something soon.
The TINT edition appears to have many of the features of the PlayClaw software...plugin support, configurability, etc....and the price for the "Pro" edition seems reasonable enough, if needed.
Until then I'll continue listening "blind" and have to keep "poking" Stu just to get my bearings.
