The only AAA in mission 1 should have been 1 destroyer escorting the convoy for red, but for blue they we attacking the main US fleet with two carriers and a battleship, so you could expect some AAA. The bombers were all AI, so the smart move for the escort fighters would have been to stay at a respectable distance. I did downgrade the AAA a lot (rookie with a low rate of fire) but if you fly low over a big fleet your'e going to get shot at:FI:Wildcat wrote:Yeah, nice missions, although the flak was apparently a nightmare in mission 1 (I stayed out of it lol).

Re: New Pacific Campaign
great missions Neil. I like mission two but we followed the flight plan with some zig zagging along and the way and didn't see you until you had left the target area. v strange.
could we replay ?
wolife I looked at the photos of mission one. seems like you came in very high (relative to the ships)
try going really low like 10m above the water.

Or better still don't go in at all = your mission was escort the bombers to the target and keep a look out for enemy fighters, no point in exposing yourself to all that AAA over the US fleet.:FI:Armitage wrote:great missions Neil. Wolfie loved it he did.... he was describing the hail of fire with complete joy - before his plane broke up shortly afterwards.
Not that I can talk since I still don't shoot before I try and identify planes - which kills me all the time lol.

Gah! If it's out later this week we should talk about it and confirm the transition, fly the old 4.08 Sunday and then by the next week start the change and do some testing for the NEXT week but ...

yeah stay wiht 4.08 this week and maybe wait a week or two until "offical" 4.09 has been bedded down before we switch and if we do switch on a Monday so we have a whole week to fix issues

I have redone mission 2 from last week - the one that we were flying when Franks PC went west
Are we OK to do that one again + mission 3 tonight? Do we have a host that I can email missions to?
Cya later

If you´d trust the poor abilities of my PC you can send them to me, Neil. I´ll run the game on DirectX so there won´t be any GFX related issues then ...:FI:Nellip wrote:OK, 4.08 for tonight then lads?
