Help needed

Post by :FI:Gadje » Thu Sep 27, 2007 9:45 am

Mikester and myself could do with a few M8's to help us practice some 2v2 tactics what with the up and coming ESL IL-2 league.

It won't be just shooting, we need to try a few different tactics to see how they work. We were beaten last night by a couple of pilots mainly for want of the above and tried to go through things afterwards but its hard imagining opponents when they are not there ;)

If anyone would be so kind we will be on tonight and probably Friday 8.00p.m UK . Hopefully it might be useful for anyone joining too, full explanations of tactics provided and you dont have to be a great dogfighter to help.

Anyone help?

... what you both have to offer to me, Graham! ;)

A few bottles of stout and a jar of your finest Water Of Life ... that sounds like an offer to me ...

Right after you guys have shot me down several times, of course! ;)

Frustrating and annoying experience

Post by :FI:Genosse » Fri Sep 28, 2007 9:33 am

But that´s how everybody would feel if being shot down for seven times. Yet it was very interesting session since it offered a new theory to learn.

Ty for kicking my butt! I´m in for another lesson of pain ... :D ;)

Join us in HE Fridays!

The JG2001 boyos must be telepathic. Wing-tip formations and they're tearing us up!

I'll try to join you for practice when possible. I definitely need practice!

Love to H. What time do you start? I know when Tact was hosting you were starting quite late even over there and very late here for Euros. Even an hour earlier would make it more likely for Mike and I although maybe not Gen?

Pretty sure we would keep them busy for a while, whilst you got the ground pounding done! :)

In a perfect world, I'd not want Gadje any where NEAR me; like last Sunday when he shot my wheezer down just fer shitz und giggles!

But, I would have no problem starting one or two hours earlier IF Gadje promised to back off a wee bit on my poor Swiss-cheesed arse.

I think the stumbling block is that Soda rushes home from work early in order to host for us at the regular HE time of 2:00AM (UK & Ireland). I think hosting any earlier would be impossible for him.

Any possibility...

Post by :FI:Heloego » Tue Oct 02, 2007 3:57 am

...someone could maybe help take the load off Soda by providing alternate hosting?

My machine won't handle it, but I don't mind volunteering anyone else's. ;)

I'd love to be able to get an earlier start. :)

Soda's hosting is quite involved as he has DCG, IL2SC and the dedicated server all working hand-in-hand. Not for the faint of heart. If anyone is interested in hosting then drop him an email (if you don't have his email address, pm me).

If we started H.E. earlier it would mean that soda would find it difficult to join us. After all the support and help he's given the FI, I don't think he'd deserve that.

But there's nothing stopping us from getting on comms an hour or two earlier and flying some 2v2s, 3v3s, etc. with Mikester and Gadje as a warm-up for HE.
