Damn you Dean!

Whew! We got away from a really bad hurricane again. Hurricane Dean just skirted North of our islands and we had a couple of days of heavy rain. Two folks perished when rip tides swept them away. At the Powerboat Club waves reached as high as 2 stories when they crashed on the shoreline. Jamaica got it bad. Hope Willieboy got out of Mexico. It's heading for the Yucatan.

Yea, I keep in touch with the situation over the news. Poor Jamaica...
When was the last time that T&T was struck by a hurricane? I read in CIA World's Factbook that you guys are actually out of the hurricane belt... One more reasone for me to choose T&T over Barbados

Hiya Boris! Last time we got hit was I believe Hurricane Flora back in the 80s. We're the Southernmost island in the Caribbean and get away from most of the baddies. Whenever hurricanes form off the West Coast of Africa we get prepared.

I got out of Mexico last weekend.
All is HOT here in TX. ( that which isn't floating off from that "tropical depression" that waltzed through here and Oklahoma last week).

Good for ya Willie! Last I heard it's now a Category 5 Hurricane, anything above that will be the Hand of God!
