Stick advice......

Chaps I need your help.......

I have had a lot of trouble with sticks recently:

I have an X52 on my desktop that works fine

HOWEVER.....

I have a laptop on which I run Vista and I have tried both the X52 and the Saitek Cyborg Evo Woreless stick.

I have downloaded all the appropriate drivers etc and they are just not cutting the mustard. The X52 will not work at all and I get terrible lag with the Evo Wireless.

I have therefore decided to give up on Saitek......

I therefore need you to help me choose a new stick. Here are my requirements:

Not Saitek

Must have Vista Drivers - i.e. not a Sidewinder FFB - although I would love one if anyone has made it work with Vista.....

Must not be too bulky as I would like to travel with it.........however will consider any size if it is worth it

Budget not an issue

Anyone with some good advice?

Help!!!!

CH seems to have many peoples approval although I have never used one. Check out the Ubi zoo for any threads on getting an FFB2 working in Vista.

Good luck !.

CH has to be the one for home use, I think the Vista issues have been thrashed out.

Saitek do have this but it's bottom end + I think it's only 2 axis, but might be an option for travelling.

I used an ST90 for about a year. It was surprisigly sturdy for what it is but the digital throttle sucks for fine control.

Horses for courses.

Thanks guys.

Can someone tell me if the CH Fighterstick has a twist control for rudder? I can't exactly carry my pedals around the country!!

It is not clear from their website.....

Thanks

No mate. You would need pedals to properly control rudder.

TS!

...DL the Vista drivers from Saitek?

If so, and prob still not solved, toss a coin and go with either the ST90 or the folding beauty proffered by Sneaks.

...or put your pedals in the wash and let them shrink a bit. :)
