Dog-awful big country out there.

I've cruised most of that country. Unfortunately, for me, it was lt from about 8.5 AGL in a Peterbuilt conventional with a big assed Cat motor and a pair of boxes ( two trannsmissions with 2 gear sticks = 24 forward gears and 4 reverse gears ;) ) to make it go.

I like their view a lot better. :D

My old pard bought a 1931 Rearwin Sportster in San Francisco and flew it back to TX. I was supposed to go on that adventure, but I had to make a trip in the big truck somehwere else. Dammit. :(

I worked a Forest Service sling-loading contract in Owens Valley for a summer.

South end sucked.
North end was alright.

But the hotel was "Hotel California" all the way!

WOW!!!!!

I'd LOVE to do that...

I'd also like to do it on the ground on my Dnepr :)
