That M-1 is 65 years old and still going strong.
Sure makes me grin.
I kept 8 shots in an area the size of a dinner plate at 300 yards distance.
I'm slippin a bit these days.
Bub enjoyed lettin it do its' thing for him too. Almost got a picture of his WTF look when the empty clip popped out and landed on his head..

Yep, young Bub' ster is growing like a weed.
He's lost 30 lbs and gained 2 inches in the last year.
HE's doin the karate thing twice a week and they're running their butt's off at school. I threw away ALL of the candy in the house and limited the time he can sit in front of of video game too.
He's a good kid.

Some more pics..
Here's Bub right before the empty clip landed on his head.

Almost into the full recoil stroke. The empty is out and the bolt is almost closed, but the barrel hasn't raised..
And here's the old fart torchin off the boomstick.

Full recoil, barrel is as high as it goes
The pics are screen captures from my camera's movies.
JEEZ, Sapper 6+ KILO's? FFS that beast is heavy.!

left hand palm placed right,
elbows in position
feet at good angle ...
somebody's had trainin'
So,
what was the target?
The neighbor's bar-b-que pit?

If you only knew about the trainin'.
My whole fam damily is/was a bunch of riflemen. My deceased uncle was probably the best of the bunch. That sumbitch could shoot. HE taught me a lot and my dad taught me a lot more. Dad wagged a BAR in Italy in '44. He's about the same size I am and a BAR is chunk of iron.
My uncle was a pretty rough but very effective teacher. You learned damn quick cause it HURT when he thought you weren't paying attention.
The rest I learned in the "school of hard knocks".
My uncle was a "wardog" for about 15 years. He was tough. He was in the Bay of Pigs fiasco and host of other unsavory places in Africa. He got killed 7 miles from his homeplace in 73.

Their "official" version of his death was pure BS. He wasn't stupid enough to do what they said he did. He is also listed in all of the books aobut who shot Kennedy. I figure he knew too much. Oh well.
The target was an empty Evergreen feed sack stapled to a piece of plywood. It died nicely.

I was shooting form 500 yards, then the damn cows got in the way and I had to move up to 300.......
I'm a fair hand with a "pistola" too.
