A funny place to say Hello

Post by Bayonet » Fri Jan 05, 2007 4:37 am

Hello, I'm a noob to IL2 FB. I played Aces High 2 for a year and am looking for something new. I'm all patched to 4.04m and have successfully improperly dl'd PE-2. The tutorial I followed showed a different screen than the one I saw so I could not stop the immediate installation upon dl completion. Should i simply uninstall PE-2, copy the required files and re-install PE-2? Or must I do a complete re-install? Based on what I've seen at Ubi forums you appear to be actively recruiting. Once I get my patch woes sorted out, I look forward to Co-oping with you all.

Bayonet

Good Day to you!!

IL2 in comparison to other sims/games? Well if you're looking for a good all round game then you'll be pleased. If you're into your flight sims, you'd be elated. Now, if you're into your games, aircraft sims and WW2 aircraft then it won't be long till you're crying with happiness and hugging your monitor! (I still do it to this day!) To cap it all you've joined the Forum of the most noble flyers in the Virtual Skies, so it doesn't get much better than that!!

To start with it's best if you poke around the Forum Topics and get a feel for how the FI organise themselves and operate. If you have any questions then just post a thread in the relevant Topic etc.!

Welcome and hope to see you in the Virtual Skies soon!

Huzzar!!

or-gan-ize?

what be dat word?

Got 4.05 fixed?

Congratulations!

We'll be playing that version for at least a few more weeks, but urm, our goal is to all be playing 4.07 "1946" by February or maybe sooner.

Welcome to the forums. Tonight "Historic Encounters" (search that topic for more info or PM TacticalS!) is tonight at about 9PM CT. Sunday is "Pearl to Japan" at around 1:30PM CT.

Get all the info about setting up your TeamSpeak. You'll need an address, a password and some time to test your settings.

Dex; Check the various stickies in the Squadron section of the forums. You should find the crack and switcher there.

Hey!

Noter, McBiggles and I met, flew with and buried the poor remains of Bayonet last night in a small town in Caucusian England.

He's a great pilot and a fine gentleman. Despite that I think he would be a good addition to the Squadron so ...

be nice to him!

Yes. Decent chap. Lovely speaking voice. Canadian apparently...............still. Anyway, we had little impromptu last night, great fun. Welcome Bayonet.

Thanks all for the welcomes. Pity I pranged my kite into the drink but at least Tally-Ho was called prior. Made my night. Looking forward to Sunday or earlier on HL.

BTW McB, My Mother and I actually do say "Toodles" on the phone.
