I don't beleive in 4/5 of the info about German "uberwaffen" like Vril and such stuff, but this looks kinda interesting....

IMHO some kind of mythology has grown around German super-weapons projects and most of these research has never given any pragmatic results (or we don't know about them). But, taking into consideration the fact that Luftwaffe was the first airforce in the world to employ jet fighters ,bombars, rocket interceptors, maybe there is some truth in the myths.

What d'u think,lads?

P.S.

this is funny - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZAMoDbGHrk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I read a book about that, not convincing,but fun to read.

Maybe Oleg will release these crafts in the 4.08?

Oh, Macca. Ye of little faith!

All the stories of German Wunderwaffen are absolutely true. Here is an old add I found in a '44 issue of Der Samstag Abend-Pfosten.

I think Goering had only two more payments of 29.99 to go!

Whew!

I agree with you whole heartedly Macca. I think the evidence is apparent about the so-called "Super Weapons". Just look at what designs survived the end of the war. The Allies certainly had all the plans for most of them, along with the scientists. What stayed in production? You have the liquid fueled V2 rocket systems that the Soviest used (and later refined). The flying wings? I thihk Kurt tank had some pretty good influences in fighter design over the last 40 some odd years. A-10 tank killer, along with a few others.

*edit*

Everything old is new again. There were designs for a "solinoid gun" (commonly called a Gauss Rifle or "Railgun") dating before the 1900's. The transistor (IMHO opinion the biggest invention EVER) dates around there too, in therory.

If that aircraft had gone into production the Reich would have been bankrupted. Can you imagine the cost of deploying that aircraft, and the payload would have been what? non existant Nukes. Maybe a ton or two of conventional weapons. Might have cost a few million dollars per mission.

A little change of subject. A few years ago I read an article in the National Enquier (so you know it was true) about two Nazis astronauts returning to earth after being in space for over fifty years. The only question the writer submitted was how the crew was able to eat for fifty years! I ain't joking, the only question!

Rail guns, they had a rail gun down at Eglin AFB a few years ago. It took a warehouse (no, really, a warehouse) full of truck batteries. To fire a small pellot (a think at around 10,000 foot per second). The rails would disintegrate every time it was fired.

A few things came out of the desperation of nazi experiments in flight. 1) the ejection seat, the RATO pods, wire-guided and radio-guided missiles. And that thingy Falcon strap on to his back when he fetches the newspapers in the morning. :lol:
