After working at the airport for over 17 years it's high time they really raise my salary. I should be making at least $10,000 instead of $9,999 dammit!

Yeah, they find it hard to give me a lousy dollar! They should also give me an allowance for bawling up pilots. Your throat gets hurt you know! And extra for maintaining those women on the side I like. Hee hee! Plus extra medical insurance for when the wife catches me.

Altarboy,

The contract controllers at our airport (a level 1 tower) make around 28 USD per hour. FAA controller at level 2 and above make twice that!

I do Ramp and Apron Control (part of Air Traffic Services)plus Safety and Regulatory enforcement and Flight Safety Audits too. That's why I should be getting more. The Airports Authority is restructuring so I hope I get a position as a Ramp Safety Officer. At least I should be making a lot more plus perks. We are permanent employees here. I enjoy my job. I get to play Dictator-for-Life and everyone's scared when I do audits. Especially all those Airline managers. Hee hee! Nah, just kidding I'm a professional. :)

Never flown out of Trinidad before, but I have been around Shagaramas a few times, with a space of about 5 years. Thank Dog you got rid of those old WW2 landing craft at anchor!

I like Trinidad, I could smoke and get a rum and coke in a movie theatre, I thought I died and gone to heaven. :D

Way cool, m8! Chagaramas Bay...too damn cold water there. Lots of boats there and tourists. However you can't smoke inside public places anymore (damn we got infected by western laws now!) But a rum and coke you can have anywhere and still smoke in outside bars. Damn I need to get out to the beach more often. We seem to have a lot of Venezuelan girls here now and dem Spanish beauties are something to behold. Come here chica! Muy caliente! 8)

If that's in Trini, it's not that impressive

Cold water? Dude, I used to swim ashore about a 1/4 mile off the beach by the yaught club!

Common mistake made by a lot. Money has value when it's spent in your own country.

As for swimming in those cold waters only a tourist would do that and besides Barracudas often frequent there. Missing any vital body parts?   Take my advice, it's better at Maracas and Mayaro beaches. And in Tobago the Nylon Pool and Pidgeon Point- even better!
:) I suppose it was cold because of the time of the year I went there last. I don't like it there- no sand to speak of only rocks.

Okay, the Gulf of Mexico needs to be mentioned here ...

50 degree water,

six to ten knot plus current,

six foot plus chop,

bull, thresher, hammerhead, white tip, black tip sharks,

beaucoup barracuda,

and six to ten dives a day for red fish, grouper and amberjack.

Before I was in the Uber Fightin' Irish I was a member of the "HellDivers",

one flippin' crazy bunch of guys that dove the wrecks and rigs off N'Awlins.

I like the :FI: better.

The members are slightly less nuts

and it's a whole lot safer.

$!0000 a month???!!

Geez, I wasn't making that at Eastern!
