Fire Rainbow

This is a fire rainbow.

The rarest of all naturally occuring atmospheric phenomena.

The picture was captured in on the Idaho / Washington border and lasted about a hour.

Apparently, clouds have to be cirrus, at least 20 thousand feet in the air, with just the right amount of ice crystals and the sun has to hit it precisely at 58 degrees (just in case any of you wanna make one)

Someone at JO found that, never knew of such a thing - now I wanna see one >_<

I've seen a circular (full 360) rainbow, directly overhead .Still puzzling over that.

I've seen it here in Denver, but it was not as dramatic as that photo.
