B25 Carrier Landings

If you fly to low on approach you can lose your landing gear, in this scenario it helped to bring my trusty B25 to a 160 - 0 stop in under 30 feetwhich is great if you have kids run out in front of you. You'll also notice one of the passengers ignored the none smoking lights in the back and received the appropriate treatment...
You'll notice this time I kept part of the landing gear for this landing, dangerously close to the edge and pretty much used the entire length of the carrier.. so this is my IL-2 fun at the moment, if you see me on and fancy a shot gimme a shout. Thanks to Frank for the mission. Have another mission the same with the carriers stationary *Nightmare!*

Nice trying.
Nightcat, could you send me this mission, I will try as well, if you don't mind;)
And was the carrire moving? it is easier to land on moving carrier.

The moving carrier equates to a runway moving at 30mph in the same direction as you, so the likely hood of stopping in time is slightly higher, but that pitching deck makes life a bit harder too. So it has it's pluses and minuses.

Cool NC!
Maybe if we get Willie out there with a grappling hook it might get easier.
Nice shots, neat skin.

You DO NOT want to meet Willie on a carrier deck with a grappling hook in his hands....
Or anywhere else for that matter!!!!!
Ditch! It's safer!!!!!

I was reading about carrier landings the other day and apparently there are 4 wire lines, in which landing aircraft attach to via the dangling hook think.
The first one is for noobs, a big no no as it usually results in catapulting them back in the sea.. or so close to the end the wind my blow them back in or something, 2 and 4 are ok but not so good as you really want to get the 3rd... now 3 is for the good fliers, the show offs and such / professionals - if you in the carrier mesh and want to impress your pilot buddies, tell them how you always catch the 3rd line *Top tip*
I lost count of the amount of lines I've seen on the IL-2 carriers though I will count them in a sesame street 'Count' kinda way
one line.... muhahahaha
Apparently when landing your supposed to hit the accelerator so your not catapulted back into the air!? to me, that sounds kinda fun and only wish IL-2 could be a bit more realistic in the sense I'd like to try that lol Anyway enough of my research into things that don't really matter and back to ... no wait, thats my life oh well
