I'm working with Hunter82 (from the UBI boards)

he's going to build a new 'puter for me

and if all goes well

I might actually have the money to pay for it,

by next month ...

or the next.

He has some great ideas for the ultimate IL2 rig,

using a dual core CPU

and twin 36G Raptors in Raid 0

and 2Gs of memory from OCZ or Mushkin

and if it comes out in time,

twin Radeons in Crossfire.

His company is called Magnum PC and he says that his top systems blow the likes of FalconNorthwest and Alien away.

Anyone ever work with Hunter82 or bought his stuff?

I haven't but "everyone" knows him and he seems like a decent fellow. A fanboy for ATI but hey no one is perfect.

Gee, sounds like an incredible system! 2 GB should be plenty for the forseeable future. Already, though, games like BF2 are using 1.5 GB on tweaked systems. Won't be long before the standard is 3 or even 4 GB.

And I'm not jealous one bit Falcon.

Hunter seems ALRIGHT to me. He's been very helpful in the past with advice in getting more FPS out of my old system.

If I ever get the scratch, I'll let him cobble one together for me too.

Hunter 82 seems a pretty straight guy to me. He's helped me out quite a bit in the past for free even !!! He certainley knows his stuff and I think he just quite as a Ubi mod to concentrate on his business,,
