Guess the plane

Post by Buster82 » Wed Aug 31, 2005 4:31 pm

cose i sure as heck don't know what type of plane this is.
i took this pic when i was in France this year. i saw the french air force roundel on the wings. at first i thought it was an O'Ryan naval plane, but then i realized that the french don't fly american planes in their air force.

the person who can tell me what plane this is, gets a round at the bar from me :D

After a bit of Googling, I reckon it's a C-160R Transall...

Looks very much like a C160 to me as well. I've been a passenger in one a couple of times in the last two years.

Looks like a De-Havland (sp?) Dash-8 to me.

Doesn't the -8 have four engines? Or is that the -7?

I uninstalled MSFS2004 a good while back now so my knowledge of transports is a little rusty...

Hmmm any idea if and when the next version of FS is coming out? Any new features?

Is it a CN-235-300 MULTI-MISSION TACTICAL TRANSPORT?
