Screen Capture

I am new to the game and found this web site by accident, but love it. I have created a FI Mustang skin (overdone I know) and want to post it, but don't know how to take a screen shot in the game (Pacific Fighters). I am sure it is terribly easy, I probably just missed in the manual. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

You just hit print screen (above the insert key)
then go into your il2 main folder, though C drive / programs etc
and theres saved there as 0001.tga 0002.tga etc :)
Then you need a host may I recomend

Cant wait to se it!

I would suggest converting the created tga file to a jpg file first.

Not familiar with tga file type, will photoshop convert that to a jpg or do I need a conversion software?

Photoshop does recognise .tga

You could also use IL2 Manager. It is a 3rd party utility to help manage IL2/FB/PF

There is a copy here http://www.pigyn.com/genosse/IL2Manager/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It has an option within it, that when you open IL2 Manager, it scans the root of yout FB install and automatically creates a jpg for every tga file it finds. Takes the legwork out of editing them all in Photoshop.

welcome noter!

...

and don't let .tga scare you,

it's just another way to make a picture.

Photoshop WILL open it,

like Gurb said,

and it should be able to convert it,

like PSP does,

through File/SaveAs ...

into a .jpg.

If ANY of this doesn't make sense or is confusing

feel free to ask again.

Also, even if you normally don't/can't fly on Perfect mode, if this mission (or recorded playback) is in order to take a picture you can switch to this higher quality mode. Don't forget to turn off text like icons, etc for a "clean" shot.

Thanks for the help guys. It worked I got my pics, just waiting on my e-mail reply from photobucket. Is that the only way to get images on the forum? Crossed my fingers with a cut n' paste, but didn't work.
