Seafires over Saipan!

Post by :FI:Falcon » Wed Jan 19, 2005 7:08 pm

Next project:

Image

Seafire Mk III w/'extra dark sea gray' (shown) over 'sea' (the green sea) w/'dark slate gray' camo.

This is an initial line/rivet/hatch test.

Lots of work to do on this skin.

No big errors found on void yet

but many tiny mistakes to fix.

Despite not seeing a nearly complete version, ... can I stick a request for one now?

Dark sea grey and sea green is just the colour combo I am looking for. It is just so me :)

Additionally, I'd like mine with the chrome plated hubcaps and real leather seat please ;)

...

you mean chrome hubcaps on the "rollies"

and a leather seat in the "sit-downy place?"

STEP 4B.503 blue:

making sure all the major lines match the 3d model,

making sure all major lines match the other major lines,

finding out where the canopy and air scoop are

...

oh yeah,

playing with decals

Great progress so far...

...would the chrome hubcaps get added as part of the finishing details?

Is it to late to ask for wing mirrors to be included too?

The Messerschmitt dealer down the road said he could do me a great deal and include wing mirrrors and a couple of gunpods at no extra charge.

If you think you can get a better deal ...

Image

wiff those shifty Messerschmitties down the road

while,

and at the same time

ignoring good ol' Anglolouisianguin workmanship

wiff a clear conscience

then go ahead!

but if you buy one of our buggies

I'll include for free

and at no extra cost

a sheep flavored air freshener!

Step: Bravo One Red/241.8 (enhanced)

Image

All lines finally meet or fit or balance or whatever,

1) preliminary (relative) line weight tests:

- wing separation areas
- wing root fairing
- cowling area
- hatches

2) preliminary wear layer and color tests, (wear layers can dramatically alter the brightness of the principal paint colors),

3) further corrections to original void:

- canopy
- elevators
- wing root
- gunports
- fuselage panel lines
- exhaust stack color coverage
- warped areas avoided/compensated
- etc.

initial detail work:

- rudder.

added slight gausian blur layer (~5.0) to lines

preliminary light/dark areas

adjusted and added rivets

more void corrections
