I loved that game!

I have an ooooold copy somewhere

but the 3 spare seconds I have a day

left over after I started playing CoD:UO

are reserved for

practicing my guitar,

learning open heart surgery on the web,

and contemplating co-universal tri-planar mono-focal distortion phases.

but when that's done ...

Guitar, you are saying....?

we need the FI Band badly!

It would be a crazy band

gigs via teamspeak

Dutch on drums

Moog on.... moog

We - guitars

the rest plays well on nerves....

:)

Yes, Falco...when it is done we could someday play a wee bit, a small battle, huh?

Would be fun, the game is soooo realistic as for such a game....Lately I bougt the Barbarossa to Berlin...amazing, now I have all 3 parts.Love it.!!!

You know.....it reminds me of a wargame in which you play with small soldiers on a small, model town, using models of tanks,etc.Me and my friends used some tables with all the info on armor piercing, range etc, rolled dices to have the results, if we hit the target and so on..these were the time of my primary school.We played truant , didn't go to religion classes to play the game....

man...
that was great fun....
but now..
i have Combat Mission....

Hi there Dutch!

the game is amazing, believe me. Risk...hmmm...of getting addicted to it :)..surely it is a very interesting stragegy. I have never had the opportunity to play the HoI 1 with a human opponent, but I'm sure it is great. At least i know this from polish Europa universalis series forum.
I played hearts Of Iron 1 and liked it very much.From various reviews I know that there were many things added and fixed in HoI2 comparting to HoI1. The demo, though it is only the Ardennes Offensive ( in the full game you do everything, diplomacy ( for me:)), research,etc), so it is just a biiiig battle. Bit still, I had great fun playing it, really complicated.
And the game is also very easy to be modified, there will be soon lots of great mods improving the gameplay. just take a look at the EU series forums at http://www.paradoxplaza.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. tons of that.

You can get the demo from here

http://www.gamershell.com/download_7840.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or from here

http://www.heartsofiron2.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think in two - three weeks time I'll have it.Mmmmmm...

In 2 weeks time there will be also polish version of Victoria released here.14 months after western release.Anyway, I'm thinking about it as it is to be bundled with Two thrones and The Crown of the North.....

If you like strategy games I would reccomend the whole Europa universalis series - EU and EU 2, Victoria (!!!!) , Crusader Kingd and HoI 1 and 2.In HoI2 there is (as far as i know) a multiplayer option up to 32 ppl.Quite nice.
