VEF and VOW are co-ops. There a flight number is assigned to you (e.g. 1,2,3,4 etc). This number will override your squad number.

When flying VOW or VEF, you must only fly red/allied/US planes. You must not fly Blue/OKL/Axis. You should also use default skins and correct country markings, i.e. Russian markings.
When launching from hyperlobby, ensure you are in a correct slot. The host will normally say in the Hyperlobby mission description whether the red or blue slots are at the top. Each side then occupies either the top 50% of slots or the bottom 50% to ensure an even distribution of pilots.

Once the mission has loaded, you must select one of the "Red" planes. The selection of country you will choose will be Russian ;)

I'm so embarassed... can I blame Falcon or maybe Helo??
Naw, don't blame Falcon. He's got it hard enough as it is, what with all the crashing, taking flak(pun intended), and lead pills from his betters.

Best to blame me. I take great pride in embarrassing people, especially myself!

BTW, what'd I do? :?

Err I don't have a nummer.

I have a picture of me flying a FIS with the number 123, but that's most likely history.

Hey-

I downloaded the insignia files and unpacked them into /PaintSchemes/Regiments/

The files are there, but when I start a multiplayer server and choose my plane I can't find it in the list.

Anyone? Anyone?

If I figure this out I'll add it to the all-in-one archive

Also, does anyone know how to choose nose art in the game?

Nose art is only available with US nationality selected.

63!

Let's hope the mission braintrust can figure out how to use them again. We're limited to using unnumbered skins now and the screen shots on the front page aren't as exciting; good fer sure, but they need those numbers!!!

Regarding the squadron skins, I just unzip them into the appropriate aircraft folder, correct?

Yep.

The "read me" file there explains what goes where. All aircraft skins, nos 04 - 97 and the unnumbered skin, should be placed in EACH appropriate folder.

To save time, just do those skins we are likely to fly.

Again, right now we are using only the "00" FI default skins.

>sigh<
