Gents, my CH rudder pedals are becoming a bit twitchy (had them 8 yrs) and re-calibrating them makes no difference, even tried swapping usb ports. Looking to get another set of pedals. Does anyone have the Saitek pedals and if so how are they?

I have saitek pedals , they are fine as i have nothing to compare them too,as these are the only pedals ive used, resistant adjusting and foot size adjustment also i screwed mine to the floor because i noticed the grips on the bottom of the pedals were not the greatest, mind ya that could be the deep shag carpets lol :^o

Yeah I've screwed mine to a board that butts against the wall , and far end is ramped up with a bit of 4x2 just to give a more comfortable angle.

I've had both. The CH set dies after a couple of years and I have had the Saitek ones since. Far more comfortable than the CH's and so far have proven to be very robust.

Actually - just done a quick mod and replaced the elevator axis spring with a lighter tension one (7.1mm x38.1mm from Rolson 150pc assortment 61298), and it feels a whole lot better. The stock spring increased tension the more it stretched, but using a spring with more coils reduces this effect + lower tension makes the yoke pleasant to use.

In the end I stripped down the CH pedals and soldered a broken wire and generally gave it a good clean out, and its as good as new.
