My latest rage has to be local goverment, I sent off a letter asking questions about why they never give Mr/Miss/Mrs/Ms titles in they're names.
The reason I asked was simply because any info on any of them gives they're names in full, even e-mails are
Joe.Bloggs@gov.co.uk (example) so you can't start a letter Dear Mr/Miss etc etc
anyway after my letter asking why, I get a response though the post
We are sending you this letter to acknowledge your CORPORATE COMPLAINT, which is at stage one. You SHOULD (not you will) expect a reply within 28 days....
eh? politics! - just answer my bloody simple question you obfuscating idiots

				No internet

Been with Blueyonder now for quite some years, never really had any problems.. infact I think its run none stop without any issues for years.
So I'm a great costumer you would think... loyal and pays on time.
Anyway Monday night, no internet - it was really scary. So I'm thinking "damn, what have you broke now!" so I go through everything, from plug to cables to software issues.
Hmmmmm this is odd.
Tuesday, new day - I decide I'll go through that again to no effect. Didn't have that much time to play around due to work.
Wednesday, ok ok after several hours I decide I'll swallow my pride and ring the Blueyonder.... its tough to admit to defeat, specially when computer stuff pays some of the bills in my lil world.
So no sooner as I get past through the password, who am I, proof of who I am then this guy simple says "Ok this is how it works is, you pay us X amount each month and we give you internet connection, its a small variable you musta overlooked..."
Crap! &*($ etc etc So I pay them immediately with my credit card (which lives pretty much on the limit - extreme credit card!)
3 and a half days later they flick the switch, talk about slow.
What about the warning, "hey buddy - you forgot to pay us" (apparently it was sent) or the courtesy call "hey buddy, you owe us some money or we're gonna snip ya!" like all the other people I owe.
So I set up a direct debit, now they just go into my bank account and help themselves lol how weird is that.
3 days of no internet, was hell - there should be like groups for people who have suddenly been subject to cold turkey... was very very bad!

Not quite long enough to rediscover you life, I'm thinking...
sometimes I wish the Internet and computers just disappeared....
The only problem is that you do 'meet' some nice people on the Net....
And sometimes you can get drunk with them too
