as an update on my Dell's performance. i'm down to the last couple of patches on the IL2/FB patch installs... took her for a spin on the 304M version... wow, this baby ON PERFECT mode...is running average about 80 fps! i never got those fps numbers even with the much suped up ole HP! fantastic! and what a difference the high frame rate makes in playing...i mean everything is so much easier and clearer.
only thing is... i've got the dreaded (though its smaller than i remember it) micro-pauses every time a bomb drops or a plane explodes. i had that with the HP too, but somehow at the time had figured out a way to vanquish it to the hell it came from... only now, i don't remember what it was that i did that did away with it.
any ideas, anyone?
