Well, some of the guards placed around strategic positions WILL steall a kill,
but they are only helping out.
Here's another mug shot ...
this is cut down and reformated as a .jpg,
so the actual graphics are better than this.
The fights are not as involved as NWN, but still cool.

Hope no one minds...
Due to the initial interest in this, I thought I'd drop a line to my squadmates who might be playing this game, and invite them to join the guys at Ivory and Steel. Drop in, say hello, and perhaps we can meet up online to tour the lands of Tyria.
Just a thought. Have fun all.

It's definitely a lot more fun if you know someone, have a common goal, team etc... But the ultimate (for me at least) at this point, is PvP. Which happens, if you're playing a RolePlaying Character, a ways down the road, literally. But I'm having a very good time with it. The armor thing is basically serious hunting for resources, then upgrading in towns that have armorers. The biggest frustration for me, thus far, has been the hunt for weapons. You can't buy a good weapon in the game. All weapons that are for sale are, average, at best... So you have to go hunt down the bad guys and beat them up to get their loot. Typical (Computer)RPG faire, I suppose.

well phoo ol'friend,
you tempt me to start again
but to GET those cool weapons you need 5 full people
or whatever the max is
and while it's fun to race down the road beatin' up stuff
NWN is much more my style
slower pace, more detail.
let me know what's goin' on.

I love NWN!
And GW is more "Battle"-oriented, as opposed to Roleplay-oriented. It all seems to be leading toward a gladiatorial style combat thingy, with a story added to get you there. I'm not sure if it's fun because of the gameplay, or the fact that I'm playing with a good group of guys who seem to be having as much fun as I am, most of the time.
Max party depends on where you are.
2 in "Pre-Searing" Ascalon (beginner/tutorial area)
4 in immediate "Post-Searing"
All the way up to 8 in a party in the later stages of the game.
My trouble with NWN was that there were no "persistant" worlds. And the ones that were around, when I was deep into NWN, were a bit lacking in content. I did enjoy some of the modules put out by various people. I just never had the patience to learn C+ script language to make my own.
The "eye-candy" is amazing on this game. But I really do enjoy the sheer volume of content, eye-candy and other, in NWN. Of course, my gaming roots are in D&D. So, it will always be a very special game to me.
I have a friend who is also into NWN. Perhaps we could get together and do that sometime, if nothing else.

Ok, it looks interesting...
...as it appears to be First Person, not 3rd, or 3/4 view.
How does it compare to Morrowind? (Although Morrowind is only single player, I really enjoyed it!)
I like the idea of free server.
I like the concurrent updating during game play.
Graphics look pretty damn good.
Didn't see the name "UBI" anywhere.
I'm listening!

Guild Wars isn't first person... You could zoom in enough to the point that you can only see in front of you, but you're going to be at a tactical disadvantage to everyone else. I guess it's third person, primarily... but you can spin around yourself similar to NWN.
I can't compare it to Morrowind, as I've never played the game, but I've heard it was not a linear type of game, unlike most RPG's.
All in all, it's a lot of fun... Though not First Person...
*shrug*

Thanks for the info.
As impressive as the graphics, premise, etc. are, I think I'll take a pass on this one.
Thanks all the same, though!
