punch out a passel o'personalized P-47's from a previously painted pack of plans.
Right. Say that three times quickly! ;)

All sounds great, but the shorter missions seem the way to go. I'll look at my P-47 skins and see what I've managed to save.
...and wear your feckin' mask!!!!! :x

Hey Stu can I get a copy of my 47s sent to me (both please) as for the missions i think that 1 90 minute mission is the best way to go, much more there's too much flying involved and not enough action. As for theatre and skins go for it! I was going to put the 47s into my liberation of France campaign but then we dropped mods. I'm happy to start flying europe again :D but 150 minutes is too long if you ask me.

I think solution is as follows:

1 - use the 352nd map
2 - for flights deep into France we use air starts just off French coast
3 - hosts discretion to terminate mission before landings rather than complete
4 - for flights to coastal area we fly from base

That OK for everyone?

One other thing - I cannot seem to get the 1.13 version of Zutis MDS Mod to work with HSFX? On checking the Ultrapak forums it seems it was never tested with HSFX and so there may be an issue. I am going to revert to an earlier version of the MDS which I know works.

Conman,

If Nellip already has your skin, get it from him. I found the template and another with a red nose. If you want something fixed, then let me know.

Neil , there are issues with that version of zuti, i think 1.12 is the way to go.

I don't have the 1.12 version and cannot find it on the UP website. I have it working with the 0.8 version.

If anyone can help with a link to 1.12 I would be eternally grateful - or very pleased anyway

Think I should make a small apology for the difficulty of last nights missions - particularly the second CAP mission.

I set up a number of Luftwaffe flights on the assumption that we would not run in to all of them - but by some bizarre quirk of fate I think we managed to encounter all of them. This made for a VERY tough mission, which, despite some better flying together than we have had for a while, resulted in most of us "buying the farm"!!

I'll have a look at this for next week (unless Vin has something for us by then?) and also make the missions air starts 10 minutes off the French coast.

I liked the second cap mission.

I think if we had been a bit better organised we could have taken them all out.

We managed to down the entire first flight which was good. We then fly on and meet the rest of enemy. At that stage it all fell apart.
We are driving down as individuals, no support, multiple FI chasing the same enemy, chasing smoking enemy etc.

Would have been better if we had formed into our three flights(of four) with at least one flight high at all times and the flights desending/ascending as required to attack the enemy. The free for all only results in us all getting killed.

But maybe this is against the FI ethos of fun ? But I do think we can still have fun with everyone having a go at the enemy but with us all getting home alive and landing.

just my 2 cents

Think the AI's ability to see through cloud was a major factor - they found us!

Maybe - although they were all up around 5000m+ so cloud should not have been such a big issue. I think we were just unlucky!
