Hi my fellow FI-ians,

I am almost back on track,
but after my harddisk crash i have lost everyting frpm IL2 1946.
so what do I need in what order from scratch ??
i have installed the "out of the box" version,
and what is the next step /software that i need to get everyting working for the sundayevening Coop's.

Hi Conrad,

You can d/l and install the unified installer 1.1 here-

Or wait for the 1.2 Unified installer which is due out any time. Also see the thread on the new 'official' 4.09 patch (although when that turns up is anyones gues)

there was also an issue with widescreens and a .ini file if i check my grey cells. and stuff like that.
well
I will do my best if I bump into any problems i will try to get some support trough TS.

Yes, you can solve that by editing the conf.ini

Just a quick note Conrad, you need to have patched the game up to 4.08m I believe before modding.
It may be 4.09b, I'm not certain... but it needs patching to something!

Conrad,

Nothing to it.

Your DVD install is 4.07.
Patch up to 4.08m
Go to the AAA site and DL the Unified Installer v1.1 to bring it up to 4.09b1m.

Be advised there is a newer version of the Unified Installer (Beta2?), but don't download yet, because they are debugging it as we speak.

Update:

AAA unified installer Beta 3 is out and reported to be excellent!

But hold off until we all decide which version to use.
...and wear your feckin' mask!!!!! :x
