New one on me. Always thought they were gorgeous birds. Never cared for 'em in the game. Be interesting to know how they were in real life "back in the day".

Good to see.

Haven't flown one in game for quite a while either. Gives me the urger to set it up in a QMB to remind myself.

I think this is the one which is too fast for its own good.

I like them and with cannon they are quite usefull.

Maybe they've changed the FM in the last several patches. They used to be rather anemic as far as performance and caught fire at the slightest sound of incoming gunshots as I recall. That's probably why I haven't messed with 'em. I may do like Mr G and give one a wringing out in QMB as well.

8) Thanks Willie.

Its one of my favourite looking WWII birds. The Mig3U is even nicer.

Mikester an myself flew the Mig3-ud against 3 F-4's online this week. It was a great fight only because we were higher than them, its still a nice plane up high.

MiG-3 is my favourite early war airplane, a beautiful plane to fly.

Yes, the version with 2 ShVak cannons is very powerful.

Yes, it is, unfortunately, rather prone to damage and fire (due to the fact that it was lightly or not armoured at all). But still, it's a real challenge and a pleasure to fight in it. That's the plane of my choice every time I play early soviet campaign..

I knew there was still at least one airworthy MiG-3 in Russia. I think it performed on last year's MAKS airshow.
