Does this new None Line of Sight Cannon mean that the america army for all these years have only used artillery guns on line of sight fire missions?

After eight years on guns here in the UK all I can say is that about 90 percent of the firemissions I have seen were none line of sight so what is so marvelous with this SP gun.

I have fired 105mm field and SP guns and 155mm Field and SP guns and very rarely got to see where we were hitting.

Royal Horse Artillery
Huh? You mean you guys shoot horses out of cannons? You guys run out of cannon balls? If you need some we got a few left back by the Spaniards long long time ago.

I think it's all hype to get the younger crowd stirred and wanting to make things disappear with a lot of smoke and noise.. ;)

I watched a 105 battery do a High-Low exhibition one afternoon. those boys were good. 4 guns and 8 simultaneous hits on the targets when they went at it. They were crankin those things down like madmen after they torched off the high rounds.

One of the best shoots I did when we were stationed in Germany was a night shoot with the first round para illume(parachute illuminating round ) followed by a thirty round fire for effect from all six guns. We got every round thats 180 rounds down range and on the target area before the illume round died out. That was hard work but really good fun LOL

According to the OP guys the whole impact area was totally decimated :)
