V.nice paint job.
Try lowering the opacity on the rivet layer and adding a second light (white) layer of rivets and panel lines 1px offset and a slight (gaussian?)blur for 3D effect.
I normally play with 4 layers , light and dark sharp and light and dark blurred.
Juggling these layers at around 20 - 45% opacity works wonders.
A personal preference, I'd soften the line between the upper white and lower grey.

Excellent first effort!
You have a good feeling of what goes where and how ... when you figure out
why, let me know too.
Yep, lower the opacity of the lines and rivets and remember that
dog is in the detail.
Go easy on the intensity of the colors too.
...
Will we be seeing this babe flying Sunday?

I've used this "Detail sheet" I knocked up on a few skins I've done.
(He111, Yak 7 etc.)
Original is in layers.

Thanx for the tips, I will certainly try to include them in my future work..

Thank you Falcon. As far as Sunday is concerned, well I haven’t flown online in a while, ever since I’ve got me that Russian sound mod. I like it so much that I’d hate to go back to the “default†sound mod. What is this Sunday’s coop theatre of war anyway??

Yeah, that’s my favourite part of the skin. I’ve got the inspiration from some Tornado or F-16 I saw online when I was browsing for tiger skins. Tiger is my favourite animal and I will certainly make more of such skins, when I get time. Right now my first task is to find a better tiger pattern…

You should have read the
small print on last Weeks coop
Falcon, make it 2 daughters and 1 kitten and you got a deal.

Well, last week MOST of the guys used the sound mod/hack/whatever. I just swap out the two .sfs and exe files when I fly on Friday nights.
As far as what we are doing Sunday?

What kind of a way is that to treat a kitten?
