Aspiring Pilot will fly for food...

Post by Keith » Mon Jun 04, 2007 4:22 am

Ahoy Folks,

I stumbled across you folks over at the UBI forums and thought I'd throw in an app :)

I hail from the Chicago area, am married, and currently have one kidlet. I have been PC flying since the mid-eighties (MicroProse's Solo Flight). I currently play IL-2, BoB WOV, Mig Alley, Wings Over Vietnam, and...err...CFS3 (Over Flanders Fields Mod).

I hope to join you guys in the "friendly skies" soon.

Cheers,
Keith

Hi Oliver, see you've already met Bill Sykes.

Hi Keith,

You won't find a friendlier bunch of guys to get into the v-skies with than the Fightin' Irish.

Good luck!

That's what I like to hear. Fresh blood for Tac's ever-growing army of the night. He should be along once he sniffs the blood in the water. ;)

You've come along at an especially exciting time for H.E. as we are gearing up for our first dogfight based, human vs human campaign. Check out the Historic Encounters forum and the stickies therein.

Welcome Keith!

Great to hear of your interest in the Fightin' Irish Squadron mate. Your time zone, subject to RL responsibilities, would make you ideal to participate in the Squadron's Friday night campaign series known as Historic Encounters.

After reading through the important stickies over in the H.E. forum area, if you still have any questions please post them Keith. We will be enjoying another session this Friday at 10:00 p.m. Atlantic. That gives you this week to install the necessary custom skins and get setup. Interested?

Regards,
TS!

and when Tac says, "reading through ..." don't listen to him. He is a government employee and anything he types for pages and pages can be explained by a ~normal~ person in a minute or two.

But, okay, yeah ... "~read~" thru the HE stuff. You need the skins and some addys and a practice session to make sure all is mapped right

... and don't forget to bring your towel.

Sure Keith now knows about the towel, but nothing about the necessary colour, texture, length, nor use of said towel. Shall I continue? [-o<
