Jeez Nellip I was shocked when I read your post.
Take care of yourself m8.
Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Neil,
Sorry to hear about that less-than-ideal week. Best wishes for a speedy, complete recovery.... and be sure to "milk" this for all it's worth & let yourself enjoy some good old-fashioned pampering.

Get well soon mate. Try and relax, after all the situation is hopeless, not serious.

What a shock. Take good care of yourself, mate, and make sure you allow others to take care of you as well for now.
We all look forward to your return, but for Dog's sake don't rush it!

Sorry guys but I will not be able to fly for a while.

Some of you may have noticed I have not been active on the forums this week - reason is I had a heart attack on Tuesday night and was in hospital.

They let me out yesterday - I had an angioplasty operation on Friday - but I have to take it easy for a while.

I will try and start posting again in a week or two when I start to feel a bit better.

Anyhow, please get better soon and take all the time you need for it. We Wiener boyos need a strong and healty flight leader! :p ;)

Take care of yourself, Neil! ^:)

Guys

Thanks for all the kind thoughts.

I am feeling a bit better and to be honest sitting on my a**e all day is getting pretty boring.

I did have a quick read through the forums and read the stuff about not recording individual stats. I think that is a good idea - there are two more Kiev missions written and then 10 for the Crimea which we could run as previously and will keep us going for a while.

I have also written around 20 for Stalingrad and what I would like to do is revisit these and do them for two teams, red and blue, with objectives for both sides. A bit like some of the online wars.

Scoring would be shown for individuals, but the main issue would be whether red of blue won the mission, and serious points would be deducted for downed pilots - maybe 200 for KIA, 100 for bailed behind enemy lines, 50 for bailed behind friendly lines or crash landings. So winning team is the one with the best net score when deductions are applied. We would need to get balanced teams at the start of the campaign for regular participants. We usually fill most of the 16 seats so we ask people to turn up and fly for their allocated team for the duration of the campaign. If bombers with gun seats are part of the mission these could be used to absorb any extra people who turn up but I don't think that will be an issue. At the end of the campaign we can declare a winner based on either number of missions won or aggregate points total?

OK, there are a view ideas from a man on his sick bed :O{

What do you think?

I think you should relax and enjoy the vacation but ...

don't start watchin' soap operas. They're addictive!

The points off for KIA, MIA, etc sound good.

Work beckons its long pointy finger at me for this coming Sunday, so no hosting for me, might be ok for following Sunday.

Folks!

I could try to host the SCS missions tonight. I can´t promise anything since I run my rig with a Radeon X300 card but we could give it a go if you like ...

Could anyone send me the latest missions for tonight´s session?

Cheers, folks! ;) ^:)
